Community Support Projects

Our commitment to fostering community growth is demonstrated through our financial support of various local charitable organizations. Among these are the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and the Acts Program, which both play pivotal roles in community development. Additionally, we extend our support and contributions to a range of community health and wellness programs. Although our primary focus is on youth in our local community, we sometimes provide funding in support of national initiatives such as the Relay for Life Cancer initiative, the annual Walk for Diabetes. Moreover, we often to support the life-saving work of St. Jude Hospital.

These endeavors are frequently conducted in partnership with the Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Inc., reflecting our shared vision of service and community engagement.

Fiscal Sponsorships

A fiscal sponsorship partnership with the George M. Hampton Scholarship & Community Action Foundation (GMHF) allows emerging community initiatives to operate under the Foundation’s established 501(c)(3) status while focusing fully on delivering their programs. As the fiscal sponsor, GMHF provides essential administrative support—including financial management, compliance oversight, and donation processing—ensuring that all contributions are handled with transparency and accountability. This partnership model strengthens community-based projects, expands their capacity, and aligns them with GMHF’s mission of advancing education, youth development, and community empowerment.

The Prince William Area NAACP ACT-SO

The Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO), informally named the “Olympics of the Mind,” is a youth program of the NAACP that is “designed to recruit, stimulate, improve and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African American high school students.”

The Garfield High School Marine JROTC is a high-school leadership and citizenship development program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. Juneteenth

The George M. Hampton Scholarship and Community Action Foundation, Inc., along with its co-sponsors,  is honored to be recognized as a Silver sponsor of the 2^nd Annual Prince William County Juneteenth & Me Festival.  The Festival is a celebration of Black culture while strengthening community connections and outreach between the County and local nonprofits, offering a meaningful opportunity for residents to come together and honor the community’s diversity. This event will feature a variety of enjoyable activities for all.  Join us at the Pfitzner Stadium Complex in Woodbridge, Virginia on September 19.
