Each year, we proudly award scholarships to high school seniors. These scholarships celebrate academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and active community involvement.

Named in honor of Dr. George M. Hampton, this prestigious scholarship reflects his unwavering commitment to supporting college-bound youth in our community.

The George M. Hampton Scholarship is open to all students who reside in Prince William County, Stafford County, or Manassas and Manassas Park, irrespective of gender or race. There are two scholarships in this category. The first is for graduating high school seniors who will attend college (2 or 4 -year) in the fall. The second scholarship is for students currently attending college and planning to re-enroll in the fall. (Note: Family members of the George M Hampton Foundation Board of Directors are not eligible to apply for Foundation Scholarships).

Our Foundation also annually grants Dunlap Scholarships. These scholarships are made possible through our partnership with the Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

The Franklin Dunlap Memorial Scholarship is exclusively for African-American Males in Prince William County, Stafford County, or Manassas and Manassas Park. There are two scholarships in this category. The first is for graduating high school seniors who will attend college (2 or 4 -year) in the fall. Winners receive monetary prizes (1st, 2d and 3d place) and the first place winner earns the right to compete at the next higher level (district) for even more cash prizes and wider exposure for scholarship consideration.  Those students who do not place in the local competition receive a small monetary stipend for just participating thus all students leave the competition rewarded for competing. 

We emphasize fairness and quality by adhering to specific guidelines. These cover student selection, performance standards, judge selection, judging rules and program procedures.

The program culminates in an International Talent Hunt Demonstration, where winners from each district showcase their talents on a national stage providing wider exposure and opportunities for more cash prizes, potential scholarships and the opportunity to be mentored by students from premier performance art schools such as Juilliard.
